DHC Capital Partner David Chew will be speaking at INSOL Cape Town on a panel titled “Developing a Rescue Finance Market – What Does it Take?” on 16 March 2020.
In this interactive session, panellists will examine the issues that affect the viability of rescue financing regimes around the world and the future trends that will shape these markets, including the following:
Impact of a well-functioning secondary loan market on the availability of rescue financing and the dynamics of the market;
Role of more mature markets, development finance institutions, and other players in expediting the advancement of frontier secondary distress markets;
Jurisdictions around the world that present the most exciting opportunities for distressed investors;
Legal and practical challenges faced by new sources of capital in various jurisdictions;
Key operational difficulties that can impede rescue financing and the potential solutions to address such issues; and
Ideal features of a legal regime for rescue financing – what are the “must-haves,” and what are the “nice to haves”?
The conference will take place from 15 March 2020 to 17 March 2020 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Over 650 attendees and experts in the restructuring, turnaround and insolvency field are expected to attend.
